Rysy reaches 2,499 metres on the Polish side and is one of the most demanding marked destinations in the Polish Tatras. The route from Morskie Oko is long, steep and exposed; wet rock, snow or thunderstorms are reasons to turn back, and TPN notices should be checked before departure.
