A car-free stay in Zakopane is easier when you choose one area for each day and only then match it with a walk or attraction. Do not connect distant points just because they look close on a map. Walking, waiting and returning are all part of the itinerary.

Private minibus timetables, cable-car operations and individual connections can change, so confirm them with the relevant operator before leaving. Keep an alternative return point in mind in case weather or tiredness shortens the walk.

In town, choose destinations that can be reached on foot or by more than one connection.
